Key Poverty Reports Produced

08 May 2013

UNDP mobilised about US $ 1.7 million from its core resources, UNICEF, and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) to support the Zimbabwe National Statistical Agency (ZIMSTAT) in undertaking the Poverty Income Consumption and Expenditure Surveys (PICES) between 2010 and 2012.

The results are two critical reports: the 2011/2012 PICES and Poverty reports. The two reports provide baseline data on income, consumption, and expenditure as well as prevalence on poverty trends, which provides the most recent and credible poverty data. UNDP role in the process was critical as it enabled ZIMSTAT to avail critical information for development planning.
